Dermalux LED
Dermalux LED is a phototherapy-based treatment that draws on the principle that living cells have the ability to absorb light.
Whilst UV levels can cause sun damage to the skin and premature ageing, the positive influences can encourage repair, regeneration and the stimulation of anti-inflammatory properties. To achieve these positive results, this treatment uses controlled amounts of red, blue and near infrared light penetrated into the skin at targeted levels to be absorbed by the appropriate cells.
The skin cells become energised, encouraging them to work more efficiently and produce a more youthful, healthy and radiant complexion.
Dermalux LED can: soften fine lines and wrinkles, revitalise dull and tired skin, plump and hydrate the skin, calm redness and inflammation, tightens the skin and improves the appearance of sun damage.
This therapeutic treatment allows you to just lie back and relax while it works its magic. Once the machine is in place, it delivers wavelengths of visible light that can trigger specific responses in the skin. The red light encourages skin rejuvenation, anti-ageing and natural healing.
Blood circulation and the lymphatic system gets a boost, for improved functioning. The blue light contains antibacterial properties and is beneficial for congested or acne prone skin. Large pores can be reduced and oil production can be settled.
A combination of red and blue light benefits sensitive skin, purifying the complexion for a reduction in inflammation and swelling. The infrared light is absorbed more deeply to target wrinkles, increase volume and tighten the skin. This light is effective for reducing scars, stretch marks and burns as the skin’s healing properties are enhanced.
Results can be visible after just one treatment. However, the skin will experience more changes through a series of procedures, which may be more beneficial for optimal results that are longer lasting.

Is this treatment painful?
Undergoing this treatment is very therapeutic and many clients express how relaxed they feel afterwards. The treatment is heat-free and causes no trauma to the skin, therefore incurring no pain. No anaesthesia will be required and there will also be no need for soothing packs to be administered afterwards. You have the option to enjoy soothing sounds or music while undergoing your treatment to give you a deeply relaxing session.
Are there any side effects or risks?
Dermalux LED does not contain UV rays which can be harmful to the skin. Due to the treatment being non-invasive and suitable for almost all skin types, there is very little risk of anyone developing adverse reactions.
