Medical Director - MBChB, BSc (Hons), MRCGP (2015)
DR RITA NANDI
Dr Rita Nandi is the founder and medical director of The Bloom Clinic.
After graduating from Kings College London with a BSc (Hons) in Physiology and a medical degree from the University of Leeds, she spent 14 years working as a doctor across numerous medical and surgical specialities, including two years working in A&E and trauma & orthopaedics. Her career also includes six months working and carrying out research in a public hospital in South Africa.
Dr Nandi’s love of general medicine, her natural ability to empathise with others and her desire to have continuity in the care of her patients drew her to General Practice, upon which she decided to embark on further training.
In 2015 she obtained her Certificate of Completion of Medical Training and began working within this field and has scored highly in her assessments, patient feedbacks and multi-source colleague feedbacks.
Dr Nandi thoroughly enjoys her work as a GP but when she recognised her own personal desire to turn back the clock and restore her youthful features, she discovered a new interest in the world of aesthetics and was inspired by the positive impact these life-enhancing treatments had.
Dr Nandi was able to draw on her strong skills in practical procedures and qualities as a GP and combine them with her newfound passion for helping others rediscover their inner confidence.
Dr Nandi has had consistent feedback from her patients that she is not only thorough as a doctor but is also warm, friendly and caring who above all, really takes the time to listen and understand her patients’ concerns. She is thrilled she can spend more time with her private clients than what her NHS work gives her.
By getting to really know and understand the person inside, she can deliver effective results that complement both the physical and emotional being.
To meet Health Education England’s 2016 recommendations to raise standards in delivering cosmetic procedures, Dr Nandi opted to enrol onto the Level 7 Diploma in Injectables alongside a Level 4 qualification in Cosmetic Dermatology in January 2020 with the highly-esteemed Harley Academy, as having an excellent foundation on which to base her aesthetic practice was important.
After being mentored by some of the industry’s best injectors, Dr Nandi prides herself on using the safest techniques to achieve the best aesthetic outcomes for her clients. She has also been taught and mentored on numerous other courses by Cosmetic Courses and Derma Medical; two other leading aesthetic trainers for medical professionals in the UK.
She has undergone rigorous product training for each treatment The Bloom Clinic offers and is fully insured by Hamilton Fraser.
Through Dr Nandi’s commitment to ensure the clinic meets best practice standards and provides the highest quality of care, she is currently in the process of having the clinic Save Face accredited and is already a member of JCCP, ACE Group and CMAC.
The aesthetic industry is still a relatively unregulated sector and Dr Nandi is committed to raising safety standards and quality of care within the industry. She has formed a study group for aesthetic practitioners in London who are keen to continually improve and stay up to date as aesthetic practitioners.
She will also have her aesthetic professional development reviewed during the annual appraisals she undergoes as an NHS doctor.Back to Team
